Having had parquet flooring laid in the past, we decided to have parquet in our new house. Indeed, we had four large rooms laid. Three with herringbone pattern and one with Versailles pattern. All rooms were laid with top grade solid Oak. The service provided, the materials, used, the initial meetings and the laying staff were all first class and extremely polite. Clearly, and experienced team. From start to finish everything was very professional and also at very competitive pricing. We would unreservedly recommend this business to any potential customers on every level. It was a great experience and the finished flooring is quite superb and most impressive.

Your quotation was approximately half way between the lowest and the highest. I inherited some rather special Mahogany blocks and I looked for a very long time to find a company the were experienced in their craft to be able to lay the parquet in my Grade II listed farmhouse. From start to finish we received a professional and superior quality service. All at a competitive price. I was amazed at the amount of equipment and precision tools used to get the level of detail and accuracy. A great deal of care was taken into laying the floor and I was blown away by the meticulous progress that was being made. Given that the wood was reclaimed Mahogany, you could never tell it was reclaimed by looking at it. When people visit they are genuinely astonished at the parquet, often asking/commenting `Wow, has that always been there?`, `It`s such good condition`, `It`s absolutely stunning`. I can stand back and smile as I am not one to brag, however the parquet floor is truly special. The pattern, the precision, the borders, detail around the fireplace, the rich colour and natural finish are all to a truly exceptional high standard. We are writing to express our delight and satisfaction of the work you and your team did when installing the solid Oak floor in our Hall and Lounge in July. The floor looks beautiful and has no marks on it despite the fact that our two young grandsons have charged about all over it with toys which really should have been used outdoors. We particularly appreciated the help and advice you gave us when deciding upon the type of floor and the finish. We were delighted when you were able to demonstrate different stains on the actual floor rather than simply showing us examples. This made such a difference. One of the things which impressed us so much was the way in which you and your team worked: friendly but not over-friendly, polite and helpful and above all the way the dust was all but zero. We were prepared for dust filling the house when the floor received its final sanding but there was none. Fantastic! We have invited a few neighbours in to see the floor and I hope that at least one may be contacting you about flooring in her house. They too are very impressed with the finished job. We saw the work you had done in our friend`s house in Broad Town, Swindon. We could see no difference in the finish of either floor. We think that says a lot. Having bought 40sq/m of reclaimed Maple parquet earlier this year, we found it difficult to find a company who was prepared to install the flooring. Most companies either wouldn`t install or tried to sell new parquet or artificially aged parquet that we believe would have detracted from the character of the property. However, we eventually found a handful of companies who were prepared to undertake the task. In the end we chose Exquisite Woods Ltd due largely to Dimitri`s enthusiasm and engagement with our project and that he wouldn`t try to compromise on our requirements. On arrival, the parquet proved to be in a poorer condition than expected with large amounts of bitumen still attached to the underside of the blocks, however Dimitri and his team were unfazed by this and over the next three days proceeded to clean the blocks by hand. To conclude, I would highly recommend Dimitri and his team, the work was always of a high quality, the service was always efficient, punctual and professional. The floor itself is stunning and beautiful and continues to give us pleasure as well as compliments from friends and family. Exquisite Woods Ltd provide a great service, in fact if we had pain more we still would have been happy with what was achieved.
